Terms and conditions for Art Competition – “Imagine the fEUture”

Rules concerning participants eligibility:

    • Participants must be citizens of a Member State of the European Union
    • Maximum age limit 16 years by 31st December 2021
    • Entries must follow one of the four broad outlined themes on the Future of Europe
    • Submissions cannot condone violence; incite racism, or promote any discriminatory behaviour
    • Contain no third-party endorsement related to advertising
    • Entries are the exclusive intellectual property of the participant
    • Entries should not have already won an art/comic strip competition
    • Entries should be delivered within the deadline
    • Entries are accepted in colour or black & white
    • Only digitally sent entries can be accepted
    • Each participant may enter a maximum of two art pieces

Rules concerning submissions:

    • Entry to the competition is free and limited to a maximum of 2 entries per person, 1 in each category.
    • Only JPEG, PNG, PDF files will be accepted.

Prizes:
We will award medals and printed certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

    • The winner of the 1st prize will win a trip for 2 to visit the EPP Group in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium (Post-COVID).
    • The winners of 2nd and 3rd place will receive EPP tokens for their participation by post.

The winners will be announced on Friday 25th June 2021 @ 12:00 CET and informed by email.

Judging:
The eligible entries will be judged, separately by category, according to their overall impression and impact, artistic technique, design and creativity.

Terms and conditions for Photography Competition – “A Snapshot of Europe”

Rules concerning participants eligibility:

    • Participants must be citizens of a Member State of the European Union
    • No age limit
    • Entries must follow the broad artistic theme of “A Snapshot of Europe”
    • Submissions cannot condone violence; incite racism, or promote any discriminatory behaviour
    • No third-party endorsement related to advertising
    • Entries are the exclusive intellectual property of the participant
    • Entries should not have already won a photographic competition
    • Entries should be delivered within the deadline
    • Photographs are accepted in colour or black & white
    • Each participant may enter a maximum of three images

Rules concerning submissions:

    • Entry to the competition is free and limited to a maximum of one entry per person.
    • Only JPEG files will be accepted.

Prizes:

Terms and conditions for Position Paper Essay Competition – “YOU are the Future of Europe”

Rules concerning participants eligibility:

    • Participants must be undergraduate (who have at least completed three years of study, or six semesters, at a University or an equivalent institute of higher education) or graduate students up to 27 years old, nationals of European Union Member States.
    • Entrants must have a good knowledge (at least B2 level) of one official EU language, of which should be either English, French or German.
    • And not have been granted a paid traineeship in the EU institutions or not yet have already been in full time gainful employment after the completion of their studies.

Rules concerning submissions:

    • Only original and unpublished analysis and recommendations on the question
    • Submissions must be written in English
    • Submissions must include a short introduction, your analysis on the factors motivating this situation, as well as the solutions you propose to implement at a European level in order to reduce youth unemployment in the EU.
    • Format must be Times New Roman, 12, 1.5 line spacing. Word count maximum is 2,000 words (approximately 5 pages).
    • Only PDF files will be accepted.

Prizes:

The winner will be awarded the unique opportunity of completing a 5-month paid traineeship within the EPP Group at the European Parliament.

In addition, the winners of the three best submissions will be invited to participate in the EYE 2022/ trip to Strasbourg (Post COVID).

The first 5 prize winners will be invited to participate in a ‘virtual coffee discussion’ on the issues raised in their submissions with EPP Group Members of the European Parliament.

The winners will be announced on Friday 25th June 2021 @ 12:00 CET and informed by email.

Judging:

The eligible entries will be judged by a selection of European Parliament Members of our Group and expert administrators responsible for the chosen subject matter.
